"SUBCUTANEOUS NODULE IN THE CHEEK"

Clinical history: a 48y.o. woman has a subcutaneous nodule in the cheek since six months; it is removed by the plastic surgeons.
All hematological and clinical chemistry tests are normal.
Macroscopic description: white-yellowish, 1.5 cm , ill defined, elastic nodule which has been partially excised.
Microscopic description: sections show tissue consistent with lymph node parenchyma with reactive lymphoid follicles and hyalinized areas; there are also hyperplastic fibroblasts which are positive with immunohistochemical staining for Vimentin, negative for Actin and show no atypia or mitosis (pict. 1) - (pict. 2) - (pict. 3) (pict. 4) - (pict. 5) - (pict. 6) - (pict. 7).
