"BONE MARROW BIOPSY IN CLL"
G. MARCHETTI - S. Chiara Hospital - Pisa
(pict. by dr. Faravelli)
Clinical history: a patient with previous treated CLL undergoes a bone marrow biopsy for check up.
Microscopic description: histologically there are small lymphoid cells nests consistent with the CLL diagnosis ( (pict. 1) - (pict. 2) - (pict. 3) - (pict. 4) - (pict. 5)).
The residual bone marrow shows immature myelo-monocytic elements, some of them consistent with blasts (less than 30%) ( (pict. 6) - (pict. 7) - (pict. 8) - (pict. 9)).
