"PRECORDIALGIA END EPIGASTRALGIA"

Clinical history: a 60 y.o. presents with precordialgia and epigastralgia accompanied by pain in the legs and the knee joints. ECG is normal. Gastroscopy is performed. The patient dies before the result on the biopsies is ready. A post mortem examination is performed.
Microscopical description of the post mortem examination: the myocardium (Pict. 1 - Pict. 2), the pericardium (Pict. 3 - Pict. 4), the muscle (Pict. 5 - Pict. 6) and the synovial membranes (Pict. 7 - Pict. 8) show foci of necrosis and lympho-monocytoid inflammatory cells. There are also histiocytes, which are PAS positive and PAS Diastase resistant.
Microscopical description of the duodenal biopsy: there is a diffuse infiltrate of PAS positive and PAS diastase resistant histiocytes in the lamina propria (Pict. 9 - Pict. 10 - Pict. 11 - Pict. 12).
