Minutes of the Meeting held on November 13th, 2002 - San Raffaele Hospital - Milano
11.48a.m. The ground shakes in Lombardia, too. Our region conforms to the national sysmic status. Nevertheless the pathologists of the Milan area are not even afraid of the earthquakes and as usual, quite numerous (are CME credits pushing?), crowd the anatomical amphitheatre of San Raffaele Hospital.
There is some news. From January 2003 the Nikon Company will support our meeting instead of the Leica Company and there will be interesting news for the Anatomical Pathology Depts. of Lombardia. We will try to put all the departments in the condition to be able to use the “virtual slide” technique.
The project will foresee that all the hospitals in Lombardia will be able to screen the whole slide of one of the cases of the monthly meeting, exactly as it happens at the moment in the www.raretumours.org web site. Soon we will begin the trial in the hope to be ready in the 2003. The Nikon Company gives us a demonstration of this system at the beginning of the meeting.
It is also announced that soon on the web site will appear the calendar of the numerous AGPAM initiatives for 2003, all of which will be accredited with the CME program:
- The usual 11 monthly meetings
- The Tuesday meeting with Prof. Rosai
- 5 lectures for pathologists on different subjects
- Lectures for histology technicians
- Lectures for biologists and cytology technicians, which will be held at the National Cancer Institute in Milan.
And more and more.
