Minutes of the Meeting held on January 15th, 2003 at the San Pio X Private Hospital - Milano


The new series of meeting is starting well: the hall is full and at last AGPAM , thanks to the sponsorship, can afford to have a nice secretary to manage the heavy bureaucracy of the CME.
From now on, Health Ministry permitting, it should be possible to give the certificates with the credits straight away at the end of the meeting. For the first three meetings we received two credits each; we will see what happens with the other meetings.
But these are not the only news for 2003.
From now on, two “traveling” booksellers, Mr Enea and Mr Simone Brivio (brivio.enea@tin.it) will follow us at every meeting and they will set a small table with a lot of new Anatomical Pathology books (obviously we hope in good prices!).
The meeting opens with the communication by Faravelli about the updating courses for cyto-technologists and biologists: in February the program of the courses will be posted to every hospital in Lombardia and will be also published in the AGPAM web site. The organization of the courses for histology technicians is well on its way and news about these courses will be communicated in Gallarate at the next meeting, on February 12th.
At this point the real meeting starts with the presentation of a new book by Massimo Barberis. He talks about the new AFIP series, ATLAS NONTUMORS OF PATHOLOGY; and in particular of the II volume which is about the non-neoplastic disorders of the Lower Respiratory Tract. We hope to continue with this interesting initiative.
In the end, even if waiting for a while in the queue, everyone goes home with his certificate.
