Minutes of the Meeting held on March 12th, 2003 at the National Cancer Institute - Milan
A famous proverb says that not all donuts come with the hole and this time we have just one of these.
It is a pity because there are a lot of people.
We thought to have no problem: at INT everything goes always well. And instead things went wrong. We were sure that the colleagues of the INT would have had numerous interesting cases and instead nothing, no cases.
The colleagues of INT probably thought that many of the participants would have liked to present cases in front of Prof. Rosai. And instead no cases. On the other hand we are not used to prepare cases in advance, and so we have been punished.
At least there was dr. Claudio Clemente who introduced his book “Rare tumors, actuality and projects” written in collaboration with L. Scopsi and L.Frontini. This book deals, in an organized way, with a theme, which could be difficult to resolve and also advertises the activity of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Cancer Control of Uncommon Tumours, putting in order all the themes discussed in the recent National Congress.
After that, it was our turn to go on and so two willing pathologists present three “spare” cases.
In the end the hole in the donut was made: not a great hole but next time it will be better.
